“It’s more than just transporting patients and providing medical care in stressful environments. A lot of it is going over our equipment, practicing our skills and inspecting our vehicles to make sure we are mission ready.”
Career Spotlight
Combat Medic

A combat medic is at the heart of emergency medical care in the field: giving medical advice, transporting patients and providing immediate care, at times, in stressful environments. And Alex does this with such balance and tact in both his civilian role as an EMT and his closely related, part-time role in the Army Reserves as a medic. In both worlds, his swift actions make all the difference.
