Overview

As technology grows ever more sophisticated, the Military must stay on top of its cybersecurity as well as the threats that inevitably come into this domain. Cyber Officers lead, plan and direct both defensive and offensive cyberspace maneuvers. They neutralize threats and protect data and networks against cyber attacks. Specialty areas include cybersecurity and cyber warfare.

    Cyber Operations Officers work in offices or in command and control centers on land and aboard ships.

  • Military Training

    Job training for a cyber operations officer requires completing cyber leadership training. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and in the field. This role also requires a top secret / sensitive compartmented information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
