Navy Lt. Walter McDuffie explains the officer commissioning process. The Navy’s 12-week Officer Candidate School (OCS) teaches naval history, engineering, damage control, physical training and more. In addition to OCS, there are multiple ways to become a naval officer, including an undergraduate ROTC program or the Naval Academy.
