    Aviation Rescue Swimmers (AIRRs) practice their escape from a downed helicopter that has gone underwater.

    AIRRs not only learn to rescue others, but they must also learn to rescue themselves. For that reason, they learn many different survival tactics, including Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) and Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) skills.
